A technique of a performance of
the peritendinous injection is the same as an aspiration. We use about 12 mg of Depo Medrol
for one peritendinous injection. Maximal count of the peritendinous injections into the tendon is 2 – 3.
At acute states mostly one is enough. But a problem are chronic tenovaginitides
with an exudate of a type a ganglion. In the case of a recidivity of the
problems after mentioned count of peritendinous injections, our attempts to ask orthopaedic
outpatient department for an operative solution, i.e. tenosynovectomy, are
mostly in vain, so we continue in other steroid injections under the ultrasound
examination.
