Scheme of the longitudinal section of the long head of the biceps

In the longitudinal section we differ four layers during normal circumstances:

derma and hypoderm

m. deltoideus

a passage of the tendon into the muscular substance caput longum of m. biceps brachii

humerus

Layers are well differentiable. A reality is worthy notice that a hyperechogenic line, which is between m. deltoid and m. biceps, is only for  a passage of fibres of m. deltoideus to fibrous fibres, which surround the bicipital groove and not only the tendon of the long head of the biceps, which is found under this line.
