Innervation of the Upper Limb

Upper limb muscles have an innervation from roots C 5 to C8 with a small commissure from C4 and Th1. These roots are connected into three bundles (fasciculus lateralis, fasciculus medialis and fasciculus posterior). In the area of a clavicle these bundles are divided into two parts: supraclavicular and infraclavicular. Motor nerves, which are related to the shoulder joint, rise from these bundles.
